The Random Wrestling Review and its sister shows bring you an explicit mess of in-depth wrestling analysis and puerile humour. The main show focuses on a single event from any point in history and breaks it down crudely and with no apologies. RWR Now focusses on events currently taking place in wrestling. The Game is a quiz series featuring regular guests on the panel battling out to show their supremacy over one another. BracketMania sees the crew whittle 16 down to 1 in pursuit of finding the best of any given category and there a number of bonus and special episodes about a plethora of other things. We have covered topics and shows dating from 1984 through to the present day from a variety of promotions including WWE, WCW, AEW, ECW, NWA, NXT and AWA, so there is bound to be something you like when you join Tinky, Old Man, Tom, Stephen, Matt, Alex and other guests as they fumble their way through wrestling’s rich past, present and even future. At the end of 1991 WWE were at a crossroads- the ring boy scandal had been closely followed by the beginning of the steroid scandal, and in the midst of all that, the company had committed a creative faux pas with their attempt to cash in on the Gulf War with the Sgt Slaughter storyline which itself had ended with yet more backstage turmoil and the departure of the Ultimate Warrior. In a bid to hit the reset button, WWE needed a way to reinstate Randy Savage following his retirement match loss at the hands of the Warrior at WrestleMania VII, and start to plot a course for the next 6 months, leading up to Wrestlemania VIII. The result of all this was a different type of Survivor Series show, one that would host a World Title match for the first time ever as Hulk Hogan defended his title against The Undertaker, and a whole heap of storyline developments to build up to another pay-per-view, This Tuesday In Texas.
