The Random Wrestling Review and its sister shows bring you an explicit mess of in-depth wrestling analysis and puerile humour. The main show focuses on a single event from any point in history and breaks it down crudely and with no apologies. RWR Now focusses on events currently taking place in wrestling. The Game is a quiz series featuring regular guests on the panel battling out to show their supremacy over one another. BracketMania sees the crew whittle 16 down to 1 in pursuit of finding the best of any given category and there a number of bonus and special episodes about a plethora of other things. We have covered topics and shows dating from 1984 through to the present day from a variety of promotions including WWE, WCW, AEW, ECW, NWA, NXT and AWA, so there is bound to be something you like when you join Tinky, Old Man, Tom, Stephen, Matt, Alex and other guests as they fumble their way through wrestling’s rich past, present and even future. Listeners beware! This show is not suitable for young ears!

With WWE coming off the heels of the biggest television audience in North American wrestling history, and also well on their way to that year's Wrestlemania 4, they presented another prime-time special on NBC-the 15th edition of Saturday Night's Main Event. The show featured Hulk Hogan against King Harley Race and a prelude to the final of the coming tournament to crown a new World Champion, as Randy Savage and Ted Dibiase faced one another just weeks before their Wrestlemania 4 collision.

On the road to Wrestlemania 33, WWE stopped off at Fastlane, a Raw brand exclusive pay-per-view with a main event offering of Kevin Owens defending his Universal Title against Goldberg. In addition, Bayley and Charlotte Flair squared off in a bout for the Raw Women's Title and Roman Reigns battled the seemingly indestructible, Braun Strowman.

WWE No Way Out 2000

Sunday Feb 28, 2021
No Way Out featured the notorious Hell in a Cell match between Triple H and Cactus Jack that carried the stipulation that if Cactus Jack lost, Mick Foley would have to retire. In addition, The Big Show faced The Rock following the controversial ending to that year's Royal Rumble match and a partial passing of the torch was taking place as the 1st half of the Attitude Era was drawing to a close, and a new, more wrestling based product began to come to the fore.

With WWE on the road to Wrestlemania 29, they presented the 2013 edition of the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view. Interestingly enough however, the Chamber match, which included the likes of Randy Orton, Chris Jericho, Daniel Bryan, Kane and Mark Henry, wasn't the feature attraction, as in the main event, The Rock defended his WWE Title against CM Punk.

It's Valentine's Day and The Random Wrestling Review is getting into the spirit of things by covering a Valentine themed wrestling show. In February of 1989, the NWA was gearing up for the Chi-Town Rumble and had one big stop off on the way, with the latest Clash of the Champions television special on TBS. This one features a major angle between Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat, as well as the likes of Lex Luger, The Road Warriors, Butch Reed, The Midnight Express and Rick Stiner in action.

WWE Royal Rumble 2021

Sunday Feb 07, 2021
Last Sunday, WWE presented the latest edition of the Royal Rumble, and so, in a break from usual service, The Random Wrestling Review will, for the first time ever, be reviewing a show which has only just taken place! It was an event which included two rumble matches- won by Bianca Belair and Edge, as well as a Last Man Standing, Universal Title match between Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens, and Goldberg's attempt at taking Drew McIntyre's WWE Title. In addition to all this, the Royal Rumble saw the return of Christian, Sasha Banks defending the Smackdown Women's Title and a live musical performance from Bad Bunny...

WWE Royal Rumble 1992
Sunday Jan 31, 2021
Sunday Jan 31, 2021
Considered by many to be the best Royal Rumble of all time, the 1992 edition of the show is remembered best for being the night Ric Flair won both the rumble match, and in the process, the WWF World Title. In addition to the near 1 hour performance by 'The Nature Boy', this episode also looks at the start of the Hogan and Sid feud, Roddy Piper's first, and only, championship victory in the WWF as well as all other aspects of both the rumble itself, and the undercard.

nWo Souled Out 1997

Sunday Jan 24, 2021
In January 1997, WCW put on the first (and last) nWo promoted pay-per-view, Souled Out 1997. Featuring all nWo vs. WCW matches, it was the latest innovation of the ultra successful nWo angle, coming as it did just 6 months into the storyline that would change pro wrestling. At the show, WCW World Champion, 'Hollywood' Hulk Hogan defended his title against The Giant, The Outsiders put their tag straps up for grabs against The Steiner Brothers and Syxx battled Eddie Guerrero in a ladder match for the United States Title. We cover all of this, as well as the rest of the show, and the quite phenomenally bad 'Miss NWO' competition that runs throughout.

We bring you all this, plus our thoughts on all the other matches, including Razor Ramon vs. Jeff Jarrett for the Intercontinental Title, Undertaker vs. IRS, the World Title battle between Diesel and Bret Hart and the final of the tag team title tournament final.

What else could the world need more in 2021, than yet another podcast featuring 3 white guys in their 30's talking about wrestling?! Actually a lot more, but we're hoping you'll settle for this. Ben, Tom and Sam are 3 long-time friends from Bristol who have each been watching wrestling for the last 30 years and here, each week, they will select a wrestling show from the past at random and then talk about it. It's a heady mix of in-depth analysis, juvenile irreverence and everything in between.
