BracketMania sees the crew whittle 16 down to 1 in pursuit of finding the best of any given category and there a number of bonus and special episodes about a plethora of other things. We have covered topics and shows dating from 1984 through to the present day from a variety of promotions including WWE, WCW, AEW, ECW, NWA, NXT and AWA, so there is bound to be something you like when you join Tinky, Old Man, Tom, Stephen, Matt, Alex and other guests as they fumble their way through wrestling’s rich past, present and even future. In the spring of 2012, Brock Lesnar returned to WWE after an 8 year absence that had seen 'The Beast Incarnate' become a Mixed Martial Arts super-draw, winning the UFC's Heavyweight Title in the process. In his second match after returning to pro-wrestling, Lesnar was booked versus 'The Game' Triple H in the main event match of SummerSlam. In addition to this clash, which had been dubbed 'The Perfect Storm', CM Punk would defend his WWE Title against The Big Show and John Cena in a triple threat match, and Chris Jericho would battle recently crowned 'Mr Money In The Bank' Dolph Ziggler.

Still in the midst of a losing streak in the Monday Night War against rivals WCW, the WWE presented Summer Slam 1997 in August of that year, with a main event featuring Champion, The Undertaker against Bret Hart and which also featured Shawn Michaels as the special guest referee. The night however, is maybe best remembered for the infamous events of the Intercontinental Title match pitting Owen Hart against 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin with the closing moments playing a massive part in Austin's future career. As well as these two bouts, the show also featured a steel cage battle between Mankind and Triple H.
