After dropping the World Heavyweight Title to Chris Benoit at Wrestlemania 20, Triple H had been on a mission to win the belt back ever since. In the build up to Vengeance 2004, Triple H employed a new tactic, as he tried to manipulate the impressionable Eugene into helping him overcome the Rabid Wolverine. The show was a tribute to a wrestling company that, with limited resources, had revolutionised professional wrestling in the 1990's before going out of business in 2001. In 2015, WWE took Elimination Chamber from its traditional spot in February and plonked it into the middle of a busy period of shows which included 3 WWE Network Specials in the space of 6 weeks. The upshot was this show which featured Kevin Owens' main roster debut, the first ever tag team Elimination Chamber match, Seth Rollins defending the WWE Title against Dean Ambrose, and a battle for the vacant Intercontinental Title in another Chamber bout.
